Slow Drip Watering Trees

Trees are better served by watering methods that apply water slowly right at soil level. If you provide trees with frequent shallow watering the tree develops shallow. Treegator bags hold 14 15 gallons of water and release a slow trickle of water over 5 9 hours. A single bag fits tree trunks from 1 inch to 3 inches in diameter.

It provides a slow measured flow of h2o straight to tree and shrub roots. Mulching trees and shrubs maximizes water uptake. After half an hour move it a couple of feet around the trunk. Make a reservoir over the root ball for watering.

It may take several hours to properly water a single mature tree. Treegator bags can also be used to provide a slow delivery of water over the root balls of establishing trees and shrubs. One option is to turn the hose to a slow dribble and place it on the ground near the trunk.
